Someone explain to me why DLH abandoned the left jab in the 8th round. It was one of the few things that had an effect on PBF. He had the exciting flurries against Mayweather when he could get him on the ropes. It excited the fans, and looked good on tv. Too bad nothing ever really connected. Mayweather fought a great technical fight. He connected his punches on a good percentage. But very few had the power to do much damage.
I am an Oscar fan. Oscar is all about business, his companies are extremely successful. My hat is off to him and what he has accomplished in the business of boxing and out.
I can appreciate the talent of Mayweather; and I believe that he is a pretty decent guy in private. His bravado and mouth are just part of the show.
But at some point you have to wonder if reality tv has met boxing; with the actual match being the series finale.
But the good news is, DLH left the jab in the 8th and we WILL have a re-match. Both camps are assured of a second season for their individual reality shows. HBO has assurance of a another year for theirs.
And everyone goes to the bank extremely happy.
That will be the last PPV fight that I will purchase. It was entertaining. But not nearly as much as the real fight between Bautista-Medina earlier in the evening.
I am afraid that my Grandfather's sport has finally lost all credibility in my eyes.
