Apparently A&M's unimpressive performance at the Penn Relays plus the more impressive performances of athletes in other meets really hurt the projections for the track team at the national meet.

The women, who have been in the top 10 all year (and as high as #5 just a few weeks ago) dropped all the way back to #14, behind both Texas and Tech and barely ahead of NU, in their projections.

The men, who were in the top 15, are now barely hanging in there at #25.

Hopefully the pick it up at the conference meet and it carries over to the NCAAs. While I know we're still a couple of years from competing for a national championship, that kind of performance would be about average for our typical meets and very disappointing.
