I'm looking to buy a set of new or decent pre-owned golf clubs. I'm not a seriuos golfer so I don't want anything custom. I have a decent driver, so I'm really only in need of irons and a couple of woods. This is only my 2nd time to buy clubs. The last time I purchased clubs was when I was in a Golf class at TAMU.

Can anyone tell me where is a good place to shop for golf clubs? i.e. eBay, golf mega-stores, garage sales, specialty discount stores, etc.

I just purchased a new set of irons from www.tgw.com. Shipping is really cheap and you pay no sales tax. Problem is you don't get to try them out beforehand. Plus, they will custom fit most clubs for you at no extra charge.

eBay can be great. I would suggest that you go to a golf store and try some out so you know what you're shopping for. I bought some Bridgestone J33's last year on eBay. Got a great deal on some great sticks.
