The next three days will be the Big 12 Outdoor Championships. Please post any results you may hear on this thread so it will be easy to follow. Our ladies have a great chance to take the title and the men should be very compeitive as well. Thanks all.

Okay, I see. They're posting their seeded times. That update page sucks.

That update page is probably the worst of all time.

This is what I've gathered so far:

2) Iowa State 10 2) Missouri 10
5) Kansas 9 6) Texas 8
7) Oklahoma State 7 8) Colorado 5

So what the hell does that mean. Is that bad?

cmag,

There were only a couple of events yesterday. I don't think any of them were our strong suit.

The men will probably finish middle of the pack (about 4-5th). The women are favored to win but we shall see.

This Delta Gaming company has been doing a lot of bragging about how they are the company who has been contracted to report scores for the Big 12 meet and they've been doing an absolutely horrible job. I have very little idea how today has gone so far b/c of them.

It looks like we've got lots a ground to make up on both fronts but most of the track events will be decided tomorrow. Hope that moves the totals in favor of the good guys.

At the end of Saturday, Nebraska is in 1st with 74 pts, tu is in 7th with 21 pts, A&M is in 10th with 11 pts.

All of our money races are tomorrow.

We placed many of the top 5 in 100-400m races and showed nicely in the hurdles. But those were just heats and points will be awarded tomorrow.

Also. My above post was for the girls.

The guys are getting drubbed and don't expect much change tomorrow.

Seriously, that's the worst website ever. I was able to check the women's 4x100, which A&M won, and now I can't get anything. What a piece of crap. They should never let NU host again if they can't even get a website that works.

They're cornhuskers, the internet is too close to rocket science for them to understand.

It still won't work. Anyway, the women were in second behind NU when I checked, but I have no idea what events were included.

This site says the women just took the lead over Nebraska after scoring 22 points in the 200.

Looks like track & field has been turned into a women's only sport... kinda like volleyball and soccer.

Congratulations to the ladies. Why are we not building champions in men's track & field?

Henry's specialty has always been on the women's side. Pat Henry won 22 women's team national titles in 17 years at LSU but won only 5 men's titles. Arkansas has been the dominant force in Men's track and field while LSU and to a lesser extent Texas have dominated the women's side. I dont know why T&F dynasties are so prevalent, but only on one side or another.

Pat Henry is the only coach to ever win both Men's and Women's titles in the same season though.

5 national titles in 22 years is nothing to hang your head about.

A&M last won the outdoor men's track championship in the Big XII in 2001. I don't give a crap what coach Henry did at LSU. He's making over $300k at our university to win at a consistent level with both the women's and men's teams.....

What's your deal? Pat Henry's paid to do only one thing - win national titles. He's getting close with the women. Two conference titles in one year for one coach isn't that bad.

94 must be a sip. Coach Henry is doing a great job. I can speak from first hand knowledge of what we had in the 60s and 70s. World records my friends. It takes a guy like Coach Henry to bring our team along and compete under the current conditions.

TAMU has a challenge because we expect our athletes to go to class and get a degree. Some of the other schools recruit track men with a diluted degree plan.

Congrats to the ladies.

You've gotta be kidding me...
Often, Henry would lead his teams to national titles despite not even winning the SEC title. His last year at LSU, his men's indoor team finished 4th in the SEC and the women 5th...guess what: both won national titles.
Pat Henry is just about the only coach we have that I will give slack for not doing well in conference because I know that where he proves his worth is at the NCAA meets.

Simone Facey led the charge for the Aggie women as she claimed both sprint titles, blistering the field with winning times of 11.19 and 22.49 seconds. Her display of sprinting prowess enabled Facey to earn the women’s high-point scorer of the meet honor with 22.5 points.

Didn't she break records at the meet?

And...it was fun to watch her impressively stroke TU.
