Does anyone recommend any good golf courses in Washington DC. I'm heading up for to catch some baseball games and want to try out some local golf courses there. Any ideas?

Try the public one in Rock Creek Park.

PLay the 18 hole course at Haynes Point (close to Jefferson Memorial). Rock Creek is a nicer course, but right now I believe they only have the front nine open. The course at Haynes point is not as nice, but it has spectacular views of the Washington Monument on a couple of holes. There is one more course in DC proper that I haven't played. For nicer courses, you will have to look outside the district, but I would efinitely go to Haynes point and play.

You know the way to grandma's house!

How far are you willing to drive?

Haynes Point is a mediocre course, but has the best views in the area.

A course 45 minutes away and worth the drive is Whiskey Creek. Ernie Els was the player-consultant.

If you can get on base, Andrews AFB has a nice course.
