per Richkern.com's recruiting service and press release:

“I’m really excited,” she said. “I didn’t even need to come here before committing. It wasn’t necessarily the facility or the wins or the ranking, something just clicked.

“I felt comfortable with the coach and staff and that was what I needed. I truly think coming here is a blessing.”

I guess she's still an Aggie
I'm sorry to see her go but I hope she is happy.

She is hot beyond hot, I hate that we are losing her.

She was among the best vb prospects to come out of SA in years, and played very well for us.

Apparrently, the coach/staff were the issues at A&M. I think she sees the writing on the wall, and doesn't want to waste another year. Best wishes to her.

Sharpdressedman,

Please clarify. Do you think she is unhappy with her own personal prospects, or those of the team as a whole?

I think it's a matter of her seeing poor development of the team's talent, and disappointment over finishing dead last in the B12 South last year.

If she had chosen to stay, I am very confident that her personal prospects would have been very positive. She is a highly talented vb athlete.

It is very telling when one of your young, highly promising players opts to leave and cites comfort with the new coach/staff as being what she needed. Clearly, she wasn't happy with LC's regime.

The program's steady decline is obvious to any outside observer. Obviously, her decision reflects a loss of her faith in the future at A&M. I don't know if there is discontent among other players, but it is a reasonable guess that they did not sign on to be the B12 doormat.

Without a stunning improvement, next season is likely to be LC's last in Aggieland. LY may be ahead of the game.

you make some valid points, however, with the improvement and the increasing role of the freshmen (Batis and Ammerman) you have to think LY wouldnt get as much playing time with the 6'4" MB from Kansas coming in and the other transfer who is 6'3" from California... i dont think she would have gotten much playing time had she had stayed so she had to make a move that was best for her...

I think the key phrase here is - outside observer.... Let's be careful to make assumptions when only Yon and the Corbellis know the true nature of her departure. Good luck Lyndsey!

Ditto Killer43s comments.

Courtesy and respect dictate we wish Lindsey well in her decision to leave A&M and pursue her career elsewhere.

The speculation that she left due to a perceived deterioration of the program is not accurate; and, quite frankly, is far from the truth. Lindsey herself would admit she was given more than a fair opportunity to succeed, both on and off the court; and further that the Corbellis were more than supportive of her for over two years.

Remember, when Lindsey blew her knee out in high school, all the recruiters lost interest and stopped contacting her - - that is, except for the Corbellis. Ask her; she'll tell you the same. If that doesn't tell you the kind of folks the Corbellis are, . . . .

As for the premature demise of the program, wait and see what this Season brings. . .Aggie pride will decide . . .if we believe we can achieve.

Good luck Lindsey . . .Good luck Ags. . .
