They had a shot at third, but needed to finish the 4x400 in the top three and finished sixth.

Anyway, they're definitely going to be a contender next season. We just didn't have the depth we needed and fell short in a couple of field events this meet.

We get a few more inthe field events and we could be talking national title! WHOOP!

It is great to see the women doing so well. They were always an underachieving program under Ed Marcinkewitz. BB should have gotten rid of him sooner. It is amazing what a difference a competent head coach can make. We should have been a great team long before this and soon Coach Henry will win a national title.

Rudder is responsible for us having decent athletic results lately. Without the women, we'd not be nearly as productive as an athletic department. Thank you Aggie women!!!

What was the deal with Abby Ruston. She signed with us and I saw she picked up a second place in the shot for Texas State. We sure could have used the extra 8 points. Also if Jessica Beard had been running for us this year we probably would have won the 4x400.

Coach Henry and his staff have done a wonderful job with the women's program, and they deserve all the praise you can give them. However, it doesn't have to be at the expense of Coach Marcinkiewicz whose final women's squad was No. 13 at the NCAA meet(then the highest finish in school history).

And, for that matter, Coach Ed remained on Coach Henry's staff for a year and was instrumental in the assembly of this year's fine team.

Bashing Ed Marcinkiewicz just shows how ignorant some people are.

And while the women's team has been on an upward swing (which began before Pat Henry arrived), what's happened to the men's program? It was always in the upper echelon of the Big 12, but it finished ninth this season.

Trackboy, he was smart enough to get rid of him after a year.

Why am I a jerk? I don't wish any harm to him but if any coach is not getting the job done then they should be gone. That is why we brought in Coach Henry in the first place.

The term "jerk" applies to someone who spouts off and bashes a fellow Aggie when he knows little of the circumstances.

With all that said, what Coach Henry and his staff have done has been phenomenal. That's why Bill Byrne was brilliant to bring in the most accomplished men's and women's coach (from any sport) in NCAA history. His hiring was a true coup.
