Other than the fact that I would love to see Sabbatini take a drive to the face, I'm a bit of a Tiger fan.

What are your thoughts/predictions/etc. Will Mickelson finish?

I'm rooting for David Toms this week. I've always liked him and would love to see him get his game back to top form. I second the Sabbatini comment - he's a major ***** (also a Tiger fan). I'd like to see Phil play well, but unfortunately I don't think he will. I do, however, think he will go the distance. I am also very interested to see how Masters champ Zach Johnson plays. The media has talked him up all week about how the course will play similar (but harder) than Augusta so it should set up well for him.

Anyone else find the usopen.com website to be almost completely worthless? I've been trying on and off all morning and have only been able to get the leaderboard to load twice.

all of the online leaderboards seem to be lagging quite a bit.

cbssportsline.com leaderboard seems to be working the best of all the online ones I've looked at... seems to be the only one with 9 labeled correctly as a par 4 too.

Can you imagine playing a course like that? I honestly don't know if I could finish, or finish w/o crying.

I shot +7 last time I played. I'd probably shoot +30 or so on this course.

No one under par now. I think there's a decent possibility that Rose and Baddeley, both in the clubhouse at +2, could have at least a share of the lead going into the weekend.

Rose has a lot of experience for someone his age. I want to say he was 17 when he turned pro. He might be able to hang in there through the weekend.

yeah, I think Rose has been on tour for ~ 7 years.

Toms is in good position at +1 after nine. He collapsed a little down the stretch yesterday so we'll see if he can hold it together.

In the past I couldn't stand tiger, but his father dying has seemed to change him a bit and I'm beginning to root for him.

If Tiger hits the ball like he did yesterday I don't see how he doesn't win it.

I'm hoping it's a good battle w/ Baddley though.

You are probably correct in that. Just seeing the other side of tiger is what I mean, and you are correct by saying I wouldn't have seen that side had the media not shown it to me.

I've never understood why people don't like Tiger. Yeah, if you want to root against him because he wins often, that's fine. But to not like the guy because of this or that is silly. Too many think he has a duty to entertain them or to play at certain tournaments, or the like. He only has a duty to himself. He's proven what he can do at regular PGA events. He's got enough money. All he wants now is to blast the Majors record -- probably trying to win at least 25 -- and then he'll be done.

While it may be true in certain sports that fans owe some duty to their teams' fans, I don't think that's true in golf where you could go home each week without a paycheck. Your first priority is to make the cut and then to win, and if skipping The Colonial where you don't think you'll play well helps you out, so be it.
