I played Disc Golf for the first time yesterday and came across a question that I couldn't find an answer to anywhere else. In putting situations, is there any rule that disallows releasing a disc perpendicular to the ground? I Quickly learned throwing it like that from short distances allows more control and makes short putts a little easier than throwing it parallel to the ground and gliding it in. Anyone know?

I don't believe there are ever any limitations on the throwing style.

No Rule
Sounds like you need to learn to throw a frisbee

Said it was my first time. And I was speaking about instances where you're a short distance and just need to toss it in.

For now, I'm more accurate throwing it that way.

Speaking of Disc Golf, I played at Research Park today, and on the back nine, #13, the wide open first hole out in the back pasture, I aced it with a tomahawk throw. Second ace on that course!
