I wish she had mentioned something about a championship in that list of goals though. Building Champions is supposed to be the goal of each athletic team - it would have been nice to recognize that in the press release. I'm sure Byrne will remind her of that though.

The players will try to live up to their coach's expectations, which is another reason mentioning championships as a goal would have been appropriate.

In anticipation of someone saying you have to take steps to get where you want to be, I agree - but when you're listing goals, that should always be a part of the conversation for elite programs - and A&M can be/will be an elite program.

The 1 year goals should be high yet realistic. A championship is not realistic this year. As part of the 3 year goals, a championship should definitely be included and I'm willing to be that it is.

And I'll add - Beat the hell outa OU!!!!!

Considering the number of titles we've won at any level, I'd say adding a national title is more than a little unrealistic regardless of the time frame.
I don't think we're top 25 material just yet, but it's a nice reward and hopefully a confidence booster. Now let's wipe the floor with OU.

Looks like we have some more work to do to get ranked again.

Painful to find out we just uncracked the top 25.
