Corbelli is so disappointing. 10-0 against the cream puffs then slaughtered in the Big 12.

So much for that #4 pre-season ranking in conference when you lose to #6 and #9.

Anyone that does not see that the "awesome" 10-0 start is now an embarassment is simply not willing to face the facts.

If this was a rodeo, it would be LC's last go-round.

IMO BB probably made the right call keeping her on for this year to give her another chance out of respect, but the wheels are officially off.

If you look at our history against ISU, the last couple of years are very disappointing. Our girls definitely need a boost of some kind. What would it take to turn it around without a coaching change?

nk, sacrificing another year of talent development is a high price to pay.

My disappointment as a fan with the multi-year slide into oblivion is surely not as painful as the disillusionment and frustration that I believe the players of the recent past and present are feeling.

The last two matches have exposed the 10-0 start for what it was, a comfortable run without a meaningful challenge. The reality of B12 play will be brutal, and starting with losses to supposed lower-ranked teams is a frightening entry into conference play.

I think it's telling that there were no LC quotes in the A&M press release for the Iowa State match. Surely she could have found something positive to say. Her silence speaks only to the negative.

The point has been made repeatedly; our athletes deserve better.

It has perplexed me a bit that B.B. has appeared so patient with the slide in v-ball while demanding excellence in other sports. It's time to make a move. I have attended Aggie volleyball games since the 80s and it's painful to watch our team slowing sinking to the bottom.

On B.B.'s behalf, he strives to get the best for the A&M coaching staff. It would be very difficult to entice a top-named VB coach to A&M at this point other than the challenge of coaching in the B12 and a top-notch university. You have to find an up-and-coming young VB coach in the lower ranks that can come in here and light a fire. I'm not sure how many of those are around right now...that tasks is a tough one.

But as others have said, the girls deserve better.

L.C. has been a great ambassador of this fine University but the time has come to make a change. BB will do the right thing and i would not be surprised to see him make a splash like he did with Track and Field in Coach Henry.

I would be very surprised if BB does not have his finger on the pulse of college volleyball coaching right now. I doubt he is unprepared for a search for a new coaching staff.

I would love for him to make an acquisition similar to Coach Henry.

+ big salary = hitting the trifecta in the mind of a big-time coach.

i remember one of the main things that convinced Coach Henry to come to Aggieland was BB's promise to upgrade facilities. i would assume a similar promise would have to be made for Volleyball in recruiting a top coach.

I just had a long conversation with a friend from ISU who attended the match on Saturday. She made some good observations for us who couldn't see it in person. These are her observations:
The Aggies have alot of talent, but came out very flat. By the third game you could see some panic and playing not to lose instead of to win. ISU saw the TAMU weaknesses and used them to the fullest. ISU used the deep corners, we couldn't seem to be there in time. There seemed to be some miscommunication between the passers. ISU used a quick set that the blocks weren't quite there for. She was impressed with our setter, but saw how ISU was able to continually use their strong hitter during the times she had to block as well as run after passes to set. She was surprised we didn't run a 6-2 for awhile to keep up a block, and to try to stop the long runs they would get going, which frustrated our setter and the passers. She thought the second setter did really well when she came in cold, and everything she saw was fixable because the Aggies have the talent.

I hope these past two matches were just a bump in the road, and we'll get to see a hungry team on Wednesday!

Thanks for the feedback. Good info. It's good to know others think we have talent too. Fixing problems with good talent is way easier than fixing problems associated with poor talent.

Very disappointing start to the season. I've been a staunch Corbelli supporter, but I'm starting to prep my pot.
