Held at U of H over the weekend. A and M came in as number one seed with tu and others lower. May not be totally factual, but believe tournament included all state of Texas Big 12 teams plus Texas State, Rice and U of H. Ags won, convincingly, by like 4 goals. Sorry for the lack of specificity.Q!

i could be wrong, but im pretty sure that sends the Ags to the National Club Polo Championships. pretty sweet considering i think we've only beaten t.u like twice ever before this year, or something crazy like that. way to go Ags.

That's great to hear! I've lost touch with the team since moving away from Texas, but the past success of the team isn't quite as bleak as previously indicated.

We were fairly matched against UT in the 90's as the top two teams in the state and qualified for nationals in 1997. We then went undefeated against the horns for nearly 3 years in 2001-2003. Our streak of 8 conference wins and several unofficial victories over the horns ended with a loss to UT in the 2003 conference championship game. We qualified for CWPA nationals each of those 3 years (2003 as the host) often earning national ranking. In this stretch the Aggies placed it's entire starting line-up and even a few back-ups on the all-conference team. We were very competitive with midwest and east coast teams, but when we traveled out to play in the west coast we rarely were able to do more than "hold our own".

I will definitely contend that we had more fun than any team in the nation.

From my understanding the team has remained as a close second to UT in recent years, but getting back to nationals is a great accomplishment. Congrats!!
