Watching Ga/Ga tech game. ACC network has a split screen view from the normal view and the field camera view. I don't care for the split screen but the announcers are clear and can be heard.

ABC/ESiPN has full screen but the field mics are so loud I can't understand announcers as all the field mics are so loud.

I have tried every sound configuration I can find.

Question, anyone know a fix so I can enjoy the full screen?

Try changing the channel to a different channel playing the game.

Maybe it's one of those broadcasts with the field view on one channel and a normal view on another. I'm watching Ga/GaTech on antenna.

You're right about the sound mix on ABC, but I don't know of any fix.

Other than to turn it down and listen to some music you like, which is what I'm doing.

It would help if you tell us how ur watching the game. What provider?

However, just turn down the volume.

You won't miss much w/ Jesse Palmer...

ABC is normal view with sound that sucks. ACC is multiview (which I don't care for) with sound that is clear. Would like to find full screen view with understandable sound and no field mikes. I am not sure if it is a setting or just pi** poor ABC/ESiPN broadcasting.

YouTube TV. And I agree with you on Jesse. I just want to find a fix prior to the Good Guys playing.

Does your TV service allow you to watch online? Tune your TV to one channel, and your computer/tablet/phone to the other.

I'm watching on ABC and I agree with the OP that the field microphones are too loud so that it's a struggle to understand the announcers. It's not the first time, but hard to believe they can't get this right

Turn down the sound some and enable closed caption.

In that case, switch to ESPN app and see if better.

You'll have to login w/ your YTTV creds...

On YTTV you should be able to switch to live at the top and then scroll until you find the channel you want. I'm not home or I'd look on my TV.

Good luck

Just reposting my suggestion above.. this can typically be fixed be turning off your TVs surround sound.

Who still has hearing anymore? Closed caption when I want to hear the idiots calling a game.

I have the volume turned down enough where I can barely hear the announcers. Thats the best way to watch these games. I dont give one **** what those blowhard have to say.

if the concern is the Aggie game, always mute the TV and listen to Andrew, Dave, & Will on the Aggie network.

I'm going to give that a try. However, I am using ROKU and the surround sound is on the TV. More difficult to get to the surround sound on the TV. Will figure it out tomorrow.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

A little unclear but if you have surround sound, I believe field noise is isolated to the center channel/speaker. Unplugging it or lowering the volume for that speaker should do it

In all seriousness, turning off surround sound within my youtubetv settings helped a bit.

Once I figure out how to get to YouTubetv settings I will do just that. Logged into YTTV online but got impatient looking for sound settings. When I have nothing to do tomorrow, I'll spend the time.

Thanks again.

And you're complaining about that? Obscuring their continuous propaganda is one of the nicest things ESPN has done for us this season.

If you really want to know what they're saying, you can just assume that they spend 1 out of every 5 minutes talking about sip.

Thank you. Found that in settings and surround was on. Turned it off. A bit of improvement, but minimal. Field mics still dominate. I have no sound bars, additional exterior speakers, etc. I have TV speakers only. I am sure the TV is set for surround but getting to the TV settings with ROKU stick is problematic. I'll wait until no games are on the see if TV is set to surround. In the meantime I'll live with it.

Thank you for all your suggestions.
