What a dumb idea - don't buy anything on Friday but buy it on Saturday instead. It was shown consumers have power, just ask AB after the Bud Light boycotts. Any simpleton knows in a free market economy that consumers do have significant power but unless these people boycotting purchasing essentials today plan to stick with it and commit to it long term, it won't make a difference. But if it makes you feel better, you do you.

I may not fully understand retail but, I assume a one day boycott will not affect the suppliers that have more control on the price of goods The stores will just experience a one day revenue burp which occur anyway for other reasons.
