Nirvana's Nevermind was released 34 years ago today. I was a sophomore living in Law Hall. Within two months Smells Like Teen Spirit was being played *everywhere*, and I was 19... still a teen. Where have the years gone?!?

I got back from the first Persian Gulf War 4 months prior to that release. Now you are making feel really old. LOL

  • Back home finally. Sleeping in my own bed felt great
  • I am exhausted and need a break and the weekend is still so far away
  • Thanks to the packers I was knocked out of my NFL survivor league
  • No idea what I am going to make for dinner tonight. I need some ideas
  • Scored the new black on black Kirkland Signature sweatshirt this weekend. Just in time for cooler weather.

Having been gone for a week, one of my cats decided he needed to lay extra close to me in bed last night. He went to curl up next to me and basically did a trust fall into my face. The only time he moved last night was around 3am to sleep on top of my head for an hour. Probably looked like I was wearing him like a hat.

The new morning ritual seems to be Miss Kitty chasing Agador Spartacus through the house at 4:30-5:00 AM and Agador will run into the bedroom with us for protection. Yesterday this happened, only he leapt right onto my husband's face like a facehugger. It was startling, but hilarious.

I was not a cat person until my wife and I started dating. They are pretty great IMO. Lots of personality, low maintenance, and very loving (once you've earned it).

- So far people are polite but not friendly.
- It's clean - at least the part of town I'm in.

When I was there in 2009, my cousin worked for BSU, and I did get to walk out on the blue turf. I also got a tour of the closed prison in Boise. My uncle a retired prison guard was my tour guide.

The prison tour is one of the top things to do in Boise! How fun that you got to do it with your uncle.

I didn't get on the field…yet! I head back on Monday morning and I'm planning to squeeze it in before my flight.
