Daughter won a pile of random free things like a round of mini golf and a free ticket to a show at Reza Live Theater, as well as $15 GC to Applebee's. We forgot to give them away before we left so I would be happy to mail them to your hotel tomorrow so hopefully they at least get some use.

At the beginning of the Reza show, she was selected for being the loudest and most hyped, which is no surprise as 9 year old girls can scream at an insane volume and pitch. She also won the backstage pass to that and they loved it, and the show in general, so it is worth checking out if you have kids.

Yea but silver dollar City is the theme park of my youth that I thought they took from us. Plus with it being cold outside there were essentially no lines and we could ride over and over. Best experience ever with my kids.

Opryland was the park of my childhood that was taken away (to build a mall, of all things). But I have fond memories of SDC, too.

I just meant what theme parks became as I got older and what theme parks are like now. Granted I've only been to Disney and sea world with my kids, but both are/can potentially be absolute nightmares. I will only take my kids to theme parks on school days going forward.

My memories of astro world were great but as I got older it got progressively worse.

I must have missed that Shoji died in 2023. I was about to ask about his show.

I absolutely love SDC. We've done Branson the week after Christmas 2-3 times now. Last time we got the 3 day tickets (although we didn't spend 3 full days there). I love all the lights at night and just how Christmassy it feels.

This year we are doing Dollywood. I haven't been since I was probably 10-12. I am thinking it will have a similar vibe to SDC (or at least hoping!).

Dollywood is as great past spring break. Super clean and friendly staff. Lots of big coasters. I went when it first opened and remember it more as a sing/dance show type park. It is not that now. Lots of walking and rolling hills in the park. Very good experience. Buy the big knockers fast pass or whatever they call it. The eagle pen was really cool.
The rest of PF and Gatlinburg was exactly as described. Go to one of the dinner shows though. It was fun.
GSMNP was a terrible cluster. Just an exercise in traffic with a few hikes with a buttload of people on them. No animals to be seen cause there are so many damn people. I won't be doing that trip again soon, certainly not at spring break time.

How was Eureka Springs? I've never done anything there but take my son to a magic show, but the town itself is *beautiful*.

We only got a chance to visit the quaint little couple of streets located down at the bottom of the mountain and we loved it. We got a late start headed that direction and wish we would have had longer. We will definitely be back, thank you for the suggestion.
