50 degrees on the Fort this morning with some light rain.

No plans for the weekend.

  • Thought I got back home yesterday from the drive to TX but it was really the evening of the 30th
  • Things are like that when you drive that much through all hours of the night I guess
  • I'm doing everything I can to stay awake and deal with the mountain of emails that accumulated even though we were all off work for a couple of weeks
  • Some mornings there's just not enough coffee in the world to make things right
Don't do anything I wouldn't do!

-Woke up at 6. Just got up.
-Sitting in my chair in living room , about to crack open a Diet Coke and start working. I ended up not working yesterday and need to today.
-Gym class at 10.
-More work
-Work on some meal prep. Need to cook sweet potato. Steak and regular potato for dinner.

Back to the rut, I mean, the groove! Grilling steak tonight after work. Fish chowder at my mom's tomorrow (it is an old family recipe and a Christmas tradition). Maybe even some boobs later!

Well, I think I just wasted about $10 in ingredients. I was making some Kodiak banana muffins.

I use an altered recipe to up the protein intake and not use the oil. So I cracked the egg and I was like oh not so sure about the egg. But anyways, I kept going and I get the tub of high-protein Greek yogurt and put it in there. Well I grabbed the Keylime pie one and not the banana one and it was too late.

So I'm gonna be having banana, keylime pie, chocolate chip muffins.

50 degrees with rain as well in west Georgia/east Alabama heading to a high of about 60. So glad the holidays are over.

Working today as I don't want to use any of my precious 2026 vacation time. I've already had the only meeting on today's calendar.

Dark, cloudy, and 28F on our way up to around the freezing mark. Threw on a flannel shirt over my mock turtleneck this morning. It's chilly over here by the window.

Lucy Cat's skin is looking *much* better today! The last of her scabs has fallen off. The steroid shot she got on Tuesday has really worked. I hate thinking one of my cats is in discomfort, so I'm thrilled about this. I also have no desire to put her on prescription, hypo-allergenic cat food, which is the next option after the steroid shot.

Just ordered a study guide for the Red Hat Linux Certified Administrator exam. Happy I could get the book in paper with real pages that I can highlight and make notes on.

- Took 6 guns in to sell to Mister Guns in Plano. Sitting in my car waiting for the bid.
- I know I would make LOTS more using Gun Trader but I don't want to cart them up to Iowa with me and I don't want to wait around in Texas for them to sell bc who knows how long they would take.
- Interesting mix of people who walk into this gun store.
