39 degrees in the Fort this morning on the way into work.

Pull tires load trucks.

Try to peddle something today.

Ready for 5 p.m.

• Back to work, first normal day of the year
• No school for the kids yet so they'll come home this evening
• Down to 50-something emails for the morning
• Probably finish season 4 of Stranger Things if the kids go to bed early enough - they're little so the show is tough to watch when they're around
• Maybe look for crap around the house to donate later this evening? I feel like I need to do something useful at home

Mondays after two weeks off suck

Sure.

Damn, even though I worked, the two weeks at home was nice. Now, back on the road. Today is Austin, which is OK as I get to see my kids and grandson for an early dinner before coming back home.

Christmas stuff is down except for the lights on the house. I'll take those down this week sometime.

Up at 5:20am. Alarm was set to go off at 5:45am.

Didn't move the whole night.

In to work early.

Hungry! Eating dinner at 5pm with the Seinfelds and Klompus families makes you hungry the next morning! No wonder old people get up so early. They are probably famished.

Guitar lesson today. The solo portion of the song my instructor has me working on is kicking my butt. It's the picking that is tripping me up.

If you buy a Subaru, you should visit Columbia, MO. You would fit right in. Subaru is the "it" car maker for townies here. Last time I was in the market for a new car, I wanted to test drive a Subaru Crosstrek but could never arrange it. They were selling before they hit the lot, and I wasn't willing to buy one sight unseen.

RAV4 is probably more reliable but Subaru is still pretty good.

I put all my needs and requirements into ChatGPT and asked what cars would best meet my needs with reliability in mind. 2 of 3 cars it returned were Subarus. (The third was a RAV4.)

I went and test drove a 4Runner at Dallas Lease Returns. I didn't love it, explained what I was looking for / needs and that I wanted to look at the Jeep Grand Cherokees, the sales guy suggested a Subaru instead.

Was texting my 4Runner friend during the test drive and told him I liked it, didn't love it; he suggested I look at Subarus next.

Was telling my neighbor in Iowa that I was thinking of getting a 4WD or AWD car to drive when I'm there - to learn to drive in ice and snow - and she suggested Subaru.

Yesterday I was driving my Honda to get a car wash and asked the universe to show me what car I was supposed to be in and I saw 4 Subaru Outbacks within the next 2 minutes. Then one more at the car wash place.

None of the people who suggested Subaru own a Subaru.
