-Once I fell asleep, I was dead to the world. Very much needed. Got 6-7 hours of nonstop sleep.
-Just put cinnamon rolls in the oven we had leftover from Christmas.
-Lots of travel work today. I was pretty stressed last night about all that needs to be done. Gonna do my best to focus and knock stuff out. Alaskan cruise quote for Texager (sent last night), river cruises for a potential group from Texager, refine an Alaskan cruise quote, destination wedding followup, Greece quote, Italy quote, and a few more.
-Don't have a reason to leave the house today so guess we will stay put.

Saturday fancy coffee morning. Stay warm all

Still awaiting the arrival of Winter Storm Fern here in west Georgia/east Alabama. I'll stay in west Georgia. Coffee is made and phones are charged. So glad I don't live any closer to Atlanta because the state is recommending nobody be out on the interstates after 5 pm.

A good weather/disaster prep day starts with good coffee.

Make it a good one in spite of what the rest of humankind is up to.

Great dinner with employees last night.

Slept like a dead person.

Ran a few errands this morning. Town was pretty quiet except for the drive-thru line at La Familia where morns wait to order at the window instead of calling ahead so it's ready when they arrive. I went inside to receive my order.

Time for some chores around the house.

My brother said he called my nephew in Round Rock to check on him. Nephew said he saw an Hispanic woman in HEB buying a cart full of toilet paper and white bread. Nothing else in the cart. That is an odd one.

First load of laundry in the wash. Ive had the coffee AND the pewp because of it. Im in bed watching TV and trying to decide if I wanna get up and shower or bed rot until lunch.

It is like 10 degrees outside. I should probably work on some chores but I agree.

Light to moderate snow and 1F. Last night's first round was hampered by some very dry air near the surface. Looks like we've had about an inch but are still promised 6" to 12" total.

I had a college friend who lived in a 2 bedroom/1 bath duplex on Luther in the early 90s. It was an absolute dump next to public housing. There were three guys there (one slept on the couch), and it was $225 a month, all bills paid. I was only over there a few times, but there was once a domestic disturbance next door when I was there, and we drank beer outside and watched the police do their thing.

I mention it because my downstairs neighbors are currently SCREAMING at each other. I'm feeling nostalgic. These are the same people who leave their cat outside when it's 0F.

I am not going to mention the thing I am not paying attention to with the ball and the basket. If I do it, it will all come crashing down in a total disaster and disappointment.

Just now officially freezing here in SA.

We topped out at 3F this afternoon. Have had light snow all day. It's windy but looks to be about two inches deep in sheltered spots. We're promised 7" to 10" more of it, and it isn't forecast to get above freezing in the next week. Whatever falls will be beautifying our landscape for good while.

I noticed my room was 67F a few minutes ago. I went to the thermostat, and it reads "OFF." I can't turn it back on. There isn't an on/off button on it and none of the buttons that are there do anything. It's 3F outside, and I have no heat.

I have called my property groups emergency number, but I don't have a lot of faith that they'll make it tonight. We've had about 7" of snow, and it's still coming down. On the other hand, that's why God made 4WD pickups.

Hope they get it fixed for you. If not I feel like they should pay for a hotel.

Try an internet search for the brand and model to perhaps find a way to reset it? Try removing and replacing the batteries (the thermostat version of "did you try rebooting")?

Check your lease agreement or power bill. A lot of complexes get discounts for allowing thermostats to be adjusted by utilities remotely during peak times.
