Ice is starting to melt, but no dog walk this morning. Work.

-5F outside. 60F inside. I'm promised my heater will be fixed today. Supposed to be sunny and top out around 15F this afternoon. Benny has a snow day today, and we didn't go grocery shopping yesterday, so we're going to do that later.

• Slept pretty good - woohoo
• Sitting in my living room working. May turn on the fireplace in a bit.
• Put a 2 liter of diet coke outside cause I forgot to put it in the fridge last night.
• Bagel for bf
• Mid-year review with the boss.
• Several meetings today
• More travel work at lunch and evening. Booked the Alaskan cruise yesterday, flights for Europe clients, flights only for a Europe client, sent refinements for a river cruise group to a Texager, quoted another Texager Cabo and some other stuff. Now today need to amend a Spain quote, call some vendors, send out final documents for an Australia/NZ trip, quote Italy trip. There is more but doubt I get to it.
• Here's to hoping the sun helps melt a lot of the ice and people drive smart today.

See what a nice drive they did with my driveway? I didn't do nearly as good a job when I was shoveling myself! Went out earlier for coffee, and everything is pretty much normal. Except for the brutal cold, that is. I regretted not having my face covered.

Are you supposed to wipe your dog's teetee after she pees if she has long teetee hair? Are these hairs considered dog pubes? How does this work? I've never had a long haired dog.

Yes I was going to suggest trimming too - no need to be drippy drippy. Yuck.

Woke up at 7:30 a.m.

Sat around the house until 11 a.m.

Friend of mine stopped by and we drove to town just get out of our houses.

I finalized my travel details for this coming weekend and looked at the weather - I'll be in Boston on Friday where it will be 20 degrees with a low of 4, LA on Saturday where it will be 79 degrees, then back to Houston on Sunday for 50 degrees. Packing for this should be fun.

Boston to LA is a haul.

With the time zones it will only be like 9am when you arrive.

Took me about three and a half hours to get my back gate unfrozen so I could get the car out and get to the gym.

I was supposed to be there at 9. That didn't happen. I texted my trainer and told him I'd let him know if the gate became an unwinnable battle. He texted back and said:

"If you were a crackhead looking for crack you wouldn't give up. Don't get outworked by a crackhead."

This was solid advice, applicable to many aspects of life.

Luckily he had a noon slot available and we got a good workout in.

Roads were fine for a couple miles as long as you went super slow.
Also went to the store.
Weather this afternoon was fantastic aside from the ice on the ground.
Sunny and cold is one of my favorite combos along with cool and cloudy.
Made chili for dinner.
Going to eat a bunch of it.
Spilled grease on the rug like a doofus.
Plant is closed again tomorrow.
Leaving for Palm Springs on Thursday.

Drive on.
