- So lucky to have gotten to spend almost a full week with my new puppydog.
- She is work but overall she is doing so well.
- Going to San Antonio tomorrow for volunteer work and back on Saturday, ASAP.
- Will be good for her to stay with a friend and their family and experience more social exposure.

We had a snow day from school. My memory is that I watched it live, but it's possible that's not correct.

I remember the challenger disaster well, was at work and it was horrific my daughters were 4 and 2 so they have very little memory of it

Ronald Reagan spoke very eloquently that day he was a wonderful president

I believe I was in 4th grade. They had wheeled in a TV to watch the liftoff. The teacher quickly turned the TV off after the explosion. We sat there in disbelief as young kids with no answers to what just happended.

  • Woke up way too early. Stayed in bed til 6:15, was at my desk before 7AM with Starbucks in hand.
  • Heat is out in my building, and the basement flooded. It's probably around 62 in my office, its 57.2 and dropping in the one next door. Luckily I have a heater. My nose is cold.
  • Got 4 midyear reviews written, one more to go.
  • Kiddo has softball in Katy today - gonna be a cold one.
  • Travel work in the car.
YALL - Yesterday my poor dog didn't go to the bathroom from around 9:45PM on Monday until 3:45PM yesterday. We have plantation shutters n the house, and we just close the door thing and it keeps doggo from going out her doggie door. Due to the cold, we actually put another cover on the doggie door, so that when we opened the blind, it was still closed but we didn't realize it.

I couldn't figure out why she kept sitting by my chair yesterday afternoon (normally she wants pets). I got up and about died that it was locked. I went all over the house and she did not go in the house. Poor girl, I felt bad the rest of the day.

Sitting at 17F this morning on our way up to a sunny 32F this afternoon (DON'T YOU MELT MY SNOWCOVER!!). Will be nice after work to sit out on my balcony and drink some hot apple cider. Going to cool off again tomorrow.

I've applied for two more jobs this week, so I guess I've officially jumped back into the Mid-Missouri job hunt. This place has *not* been kind to me over the years. I've had so many bizarre experiences (many of which I've already posted about). I don't like my current job though, so I have no other alternatives.

I was once at an interview with a small business owner Nate and his wife. I could tell from minute one that she hated me. She glared at me the entire interview (to the point that I found it rude). Nate, on the other hand, liked my Active Directory experience. I was interviewing for a simple technician job, but he wanted me to help with some consulting work. He told me that his assistant would be contacting me for a second interview related to that line of work.

His assistant never contacted me (obviously the wife intervened). About two months later, Nate emailed me. He wanted to take me to lunch and explain everything. I told him that I "graciously accept." That was in 2016. He's never replied.

I did look the wife up on social media and discovered she was something of an activist in "Fair-trade mustard seeds." I have no idea what that is, but when I make my fortune, I'm flooding CoMo with corporate mustard seeds.

She murdered him. I've listened to Dateline NBC on XM Radio for the past 2 months to realize that's what happens in every relationship when a spouse disappears.
