-Travel work this afternoon.
-Looks like it will be a beautiful day.

Will also watch some Aggie sports on the tube.

This is the day the Lord has made.

-Someone finally gave up the "BIGPETE" vanity plate in Texas when I checked this morning, so it's MINE until I die! Or until I grow up...

-Another rough Saturday for Aggie sports. I don't know why I subject myself to this crap.

-1 more day until I'm 45. For the first time in my life I feel like I actually look my age. I don't like it much, but here in 4-5 years I'll look young for my age again. We've got good genes like that.

-There's nothing like watching the dogs passive-aggressively play together on Sunday mornings. Cosmo is on week 3 with us and he's fitting right in! Him and Kaneki act like little 5 year olds trying to convince each other the toy they currently have is the best ever and I don't want to trade with you even though you should probably want to trade with me.

-Maybe Eddie V's tonight but I'll probably settle for Texas Roadhouse.

I'm having a slow day, so I'll get into your sh**. Why did you buy a new house? Is it condo/patio/single-family? It's close to your new job. Are you still a federal employee? If so, is your new job one that gets paid through government shutdowns? My sister works at NASA and has one of those jobs. Definitely an important perk for a gov't job in this day and age.

Are you going to be able to make money on the place you're leaving? The rule of thumb I was taught was that you have to hold on to a place for three years before you'll make money selling. On the other hand, Denver is a hotter real estate market than Southeast Texas (where I learned that rule).

When I'm finally done working, I'd like to move to Southern Colorado (Trinidad) or Northern New Mexico. The Front Range has too many people for my tastes.

We're forecast to have a rain/snow mix this evening, but I hear the plink, plink, plink of sleet against the window.

• Got transfer-on-death deeds signed, got a new POA for my FIL, and started executing probate paperwork for my MIL's estate
• Finally made my delicious coffee at 6 PM
• Will be up late composing
