Record high yesterday of 82F. Slept with the windows open last night. It's nice this morning, but we're supposed to hit 85F this afternoon before a cold front moves through tonight. It's forecast to snow Sunday night into Monday. Springtime in Middle America.
I want a new PC. I have an Intel Core i5, which runs a host OS great, but it doesn't virtualize nearly as well as the i7 that I used to have. It has 4 cores and 4 threads, whereas the i7 had 4 cores but 8 threads. A thread is essentially treated as a core by a virtual machine. I can only give 2 cores/threads to my Windows 11 VM, and it's a dog.
I won't be using my tax refund to pay for that new PC. I made a whopping 2.2% more in 2025 than 2024 but somehow wound up owing money. I always get a refund. I am getting a refund from Missouri on my state income tax, which I am hoping arrives in time to pay my federal taxes.
