I personally do. It's an expression of love to me to cook for Family and Friends. My Mom and Dad enjoyed cooking and it was their way of expressing love in a household that wasn't very expressive at all.

If you're having a bad day, stop by and I'll make you breakfast for dinner. Nothing puts you in a good mood like someone making you breakfast for dinner.

I don't even particularly enjoy making food for myself.

I don't cook. I'd be in trouble if not for my microwave.

I love cooking for my family, especially.

Meh I have never really enjoyed cooking. Don't do it often at all. But I do on holidays. I used to bake all the time. Now I rarely do, but when I do, I really enjoy making the cookies with icing on top. That used to happy at all major holidays but now usually just 1-2x a year. I'm just not the best decorator but they do taste good.

Yep, I love making food for people. I recently made a bunch of tamales and salsa and brought it to the office. One dude from El Paso said my tamales were almost as good as his Abuela's.

love cooking. feels great to learn new dishes and techniques, or tips.

Not talking elaborate stuff- just things like learning to trim and smoke a brisket, chicken fried steaks, baked fish, certain veggie casseroles, various soupsand sauces.

After awhile you get decent at just making up stuff from what you have on hand. without measuring.

Yes and especially when people comment "This is the best _________ I've ever had". I made homemade Gnocchi on Sunday and got that from everyone at the table

I enjoy it. Maybe cause I just like hosting, and I like to eat what I cook.

I used to love to cook, but then I got married and now we have some hoity toity pots and pans that apparently I'm too barbaric to get to use. So, my cooking is limited to mainly smoking and/or grilling meats outside.

I do miss whipping up some delicious french toast whenever I felt like it, though.

Perhaps someday in the near future I can just raise a "BBQ" flag on our outdoor flagpole and that would signal any neighbors to feel free to pop over and drink some beers in the garage and watch sports on the outdoor TV while the meat's finishing/resting.

I'm just thankful I don't love eating as much as I love cooking. Cooking is one of the few things I seem to do well these days……I'm not nearly at the level of some of the F&S board folks, but I try hard.

My college-freshman son loves coming home for Sunday brunch (he's only 10 miles away at NC State) so I happily whip up some eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy for him, girlfriend, and sister. Then I eat the leftovers for breakfast during the week.

I cook about every other night. I like to cook enough to have leftovers for the next night.

I really enjoy cooking when my wife or kids tell me, "This is the best ___ I've ever had," or something along those lines. My wife and kids are out of town for spring break this week, so I cooked enough early in the week to have food for later in the week.

We don't eat out much, mostly when I'm too lazy to cook. I have no idea what they do for food when I'm traveling for work, but I just know that they're still alive when I get home, and they are hungry.

Love cooking for others. Momma Earl said we didn't have to be rich to eat well. She made sure we could cook for ourselves before leaving the house.

Much as I disdain the Somerset/Von Army area, folks down that way can cook. Maybe not as good as the Pleddintun/Verdi/Lytle area of them parts, but y'all don't suck. Least not in that regard.

Oh they're real. Inconsequencial at least as far as southern Bexar county goes, but they're real enough.

That's not an endorsement, just acknowledgement that they do exist. The "why" of it is beyond me.

I really enjoy cooking for others; it's definitely the primary way I show love. Unfortunately, my child has the most boring palate ever so I don't have a very appreciative audience on a daily basis. But I spend a good amount of time on weekends and holidays cooking for friends and extended family.

For years I worked on perfecting Italian cuisine, then I moved on to Asian for a while. Now I'm on a Mediterranean/Middle East journey. Pretty much every day I browse my collection of cookbooks and plan meals for future gatherings. In another life I would have loved to go to culinary school.
