At least America didn't lose to a team of Italian-Americans (for the championship). Three Italians on their team.
I'd be much more excited about the WBC if we used minor leaguers. Nothing like having a group of hungover millionaire players representing your country. And the skipper (Mark DeRosa) came out of this looking like an absolute idiot.
