Got some kind of congestion crud going on. Voice is low today. Think I'll get a side gig doing voiceover work today for big bucks

Need to knock a presentation file off the list but people won't leave me alone

Crushed fresh garlic in honey will deal with that. I think it's the zinc content but both are wonderful natural antivirus solutions.

  • Cirque du Soleil at 4 AM, resulting in exile from the bedroom. Parlor Panthers retaliated by bonking the door for an hour.
  • I have officially survived another semester of grad school; too bad I only get four weeks off.
  • I don't know if I should be productive with my break or just lazy.

What's so sad is that he himself is a GREAT artist but he hasn't picked up a paint brush in decades! I told him I wish HE'D paint me something for me the room and be just smiled and said "yeah, I should get back to painting…" which is what he says every trip and never does.

Plus, if he picked the art he'd just pick photos of ladies' butts or something.

  • So so so tired
  • Spent last week moving my in laws from my TX house to a new apartment
  • They were wildly unprepared to move (I even hired packers)
  • Ended up with two 20yrd dumpsters full of crap/trash
  • Need to finish unloading the small trailer I drove back to KS today and return it
  • Wife left for the start of latest book tour this morning at 430am
  • I fly back to TX tomorrow morning to sign the closing docs on my TX house.
  • Off to Miami on Friday for a book event with my wife
  • I also got to book my World Cup volunteer shifts last night. One shift will be working live production support for the All American Rejects and Tech N9ne concert
But the best news of all is that my sister in law can no longer live with my in laws! She isn't on the lease because they moved into a 55+ community.

  • Slept decent, just needed more.
  • Meetings this AM.
  • Only 1 meeting this afternoon.
  • Kiddo has her "second" "first day at work" as it was moved from Sat to today.
  • Travel work tonight. Yesterday was really productive but I was sitting in my chair from 12PM-8PM lol. But I got a lot done.
  • Take kiddo to find her first belt ever tonight after she gets off (needs for work)

Man. What does she do all day?

A lady my mom is acquainted with has two adult sons that live with her. One works at McDonald's and one works at Subway or some such business.

They are complete slobs. They drink or smoke pot a lot. They can't drive because neither has a current license. The woman has health issues and calls my mom or some other ladies from the church for rides.

It's a mess.

There is a reason some species of birds will shred their nest after their young learn to fly. They then have to go out and survive.

She watches TV or Praise and Worship videos all day long. Might also talk with some old friends online. If I hadn't spent literal ten of thousands of dollars supporting her over the years, I might have more sympathy for her situation.


Ever watch the Amazon docuseries Shiny Happy People? Season 2 is all about a religious youth cult called Teen Mania. My SIL was in on the ground floor of that. She did all the mission trips, internships (which she paid to do), smuggled bibles into China, etc. At one point she was nanny to Ron Luce's kids. I think it really messed her up and she didn't really admit any of the harm it did until a few years ago.
