Today I witnessed the burial of a friend. Anyone who read the Galveston Daily News might of been familiar with his photography, sports/fishing articles, or fishing reports. Anyone who goes/went to or supports Galveston O'Connell is familiar with him. Anyone who knows of Texas high school tennis records knows who he was. Anyone who is familiar with the Texas A&M's womens tennis team knows who one of the best players he ever coached was (Bobby Kleinecke). I am talking about a man who was a great teacher, tennis coach, photograher, journalist, fisherman, and friend.

His name was Vince Stiglich Jr but those who knew him always called him as just Coach Stig. Not Mr. Stiglich or Vince, but just Coach Stig. I had not seen him in many years, but the loss still hit me hard. He was my teacher many years ago, but he was my friend before and after that. All I can say is that he will be missed and that the world has lost a great man. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

If you want to see how he touched so many lives, read a few of the articles in this link.
