This stuff is all in my ebay scam thread, but I figured there might not be that many people looking at that one so I thought I would post the links and stuff in its own thread.

The premise is this: Slash had two replica (as in not made by Gibson) Les Pauls at or around the time Appetite for Destruction was recorded. One was made by Kris Derrig and the other by a guy named Max Baranet. Basically, no one save maybe Slash seems to really be able to confirm for certain which was used on AFD. Baranet is still alive and claims it was his, while Derrig died of leukemia in the 80s. The threads below have some pretty lively discussion on the subject for those that are interested in this sort of thing.

Bump from way back just because I ran across this thread of mine while looking for that first link and it's still a cool story.

Why are people so worried about which LP copy he used on Appetite?
