It seems that this week she keeps popping up on the radio a lot. I don't like it. What's this all about?

I can't say I care for her much either but the Dixie Chicks new single is "Landslide". Arguably stevie's biggest song. The dixie chicks are getting quite a lot of air play from it and that might be the reason for the new found interest in stevie.

Not that I ever listen to radio, but they released that as a single? Jesus, at least find a song that hasn't been covered by 10 other bands. That must mean the label sees this new album as a flop to go reaching for the sure thing

they made a video for landslide, i saw it on tv yesterday.

not a bad cover, but as usual i like the original better.

The Dixie Chicks performed with Stevie at some concert, probably one of them Diva's Live things, and afterwards they decided to cover the song.

Don't know about radio there, but the Dixie Chicks' new album is supposedly their best yet, according to the critics. The sisters are actually good musicians and played a lot of bluegrass style growing up, I believe. Probably due to the success of the "O Brother Where Art Thou?" soundtrack, and having their own label now, they have incorporated a lot of bluegrass sound into their new music.

I'm sure the marketeers are concerned that the mainstream consumer may not be as interested in quality musicianship as they are hooks and familiarity. Wouldn't be surprised at all if that's why Landslide is a single. I've heard it and it sounds pretty good. I plan on getting the CD eventually.

Billy Corgan sounds more like Stevie Nicks than Natalie Maines does.

There is a good book out called Daisy Jones and the Six that is supposed to be about her and Fleetwood Mac. They are trying to do a series about the book as well. The book was awesome.
