The Script seems to have captured the mood.

quote:
EXT. DOM'S HOUSE - NIGHT

Dom walks down the street. He looks jacked in the moonlight. Sort of like he got a pump in right before this take. Maybe did some pushups in the dressing room. Either way for 48 years old Vin Diesel is in incredible shape.

Here's the plot:

1) Vin Diesel wearing 10-15% of a shirt throughout the movie.
2) A bunch of other interchangable people minus Hobbes and Shaw.
3) A crazy heist involving something with a turbo-charged engine and big tires that should not have either one.
4) People have to drive cars in an environment unsuitable for car driving - leading remaining non-previously used candidates include:

  • Driving on pontoon boats on the Amazon River and fighting crocodiles armed with machine guns.
  • Driving through the earth's core using some sort of BS metal alloy that one of these knucklehead's hot sister who is also a scientist invented in a lab.
  • Driving around the top of a domed NFL stadium during the Super Bowl.
  • Driving on the moon, Dom two fists a couple of brewskis in zero gravity.

4) Reference to Brian Earl Spilner being off doing something fun with his family that makes you cringe the same way you used to cringe when the other characters on 90210 would pretend Dylan and Brenda were traveling through Europe even though you knew that they both actually left the show because they hated everything about it, including each other.

5) No fewer than 10 but no more than 500 briefcases filled with money.
6) A last 2 minutes cameo by somebody from one of the previous movies, but there have been so many of them you have no idea who it is until you get out of the movie and look it up on your phone.

You have some great framework and bones for a killer F&F script but let's put some meat on those bones.

Setting is back in LA. NeoNazi fans start showing up in Doms hood buying up all the property and gentrifying the ***** You can't even go to Fat Burger because it's a Steak Shack now. Dom and the gang don't like it and start investigating. Turns out all of the properties are being bought up by a bunch of shell corporations but they all have one mother company Furor(obvious play on Fuhrer) Enterprises based in Argentina of all places.

Dom doesn't understand why they're buying up property in his LA neighrhood though. They have been experiencing more earth quakes though recently. Of course at this point, they save a smoking hot geologist named Elava Magma who's a perfect 10 in the class room with perfect 10 ass view who's being targeted by these now nazis.

She reveals that the San Andreas fault actually extends further west than thought and there's a huge fault line right at the edge of Doms neighborhood. LA is actually built on a giant underground inland sea next to this huge fault line. The earthquakes are concerning because if they keep coming something catastrophic could occur:

Unbeknownst to the hero's, During WWII the Germans were secretly stockpiling munitions and explosives to cause LA to <dramatic pause> fall into Pacific Ocean. The Germans couldn't finish their plan but the remaining Nazis took all of that secret Jew Gold, plans for nuclear type devices using hard water (H30), and plans for the great collapse of LA and hid them in Argentina.

Years passed and legends had been passed down by Nazis hiding in Argentina about this secret cache. The gold was used to start Furor Enterprises so that they could finally carry out their plan.

The CIA has been finding all of this out as well and needs Dom and his gang to DRIVE UNDERGROUND THROUGH THE SAN ADREAS FAULT and disarm all of the bombs.

And of course ensues a badazz sequence of dodging stalactites and stalagmites while killing nazis like you're playing Wolfenstein on God mode.

I'd greenlight that pitch!

All I'd add, is maybe have a side plot that someone reveals to Dom that he should dig into his family history. Turns out, his grandpa was a wealthy jewish businessman who was betrayed by the grandpa of whoever runs Furor Enterprises. Therefore, Dom is the rightful heir to the jew gold stashed in Argentina.

Final scene is the whole gang in the Argentinian compound and Dom is splitting the stash with his familia over some Coronas.
