Anyone else watching? I'm 4 episodes in. It's a somewhat absurd dark comedy slash CIA undercover series with a dash of folk music.

I would best describe it as The Recruit + Burn After Reading + The Brink + Inside Llewyn Davis as directed by Wes Anderson.

We are 8 eps in. Eps 6 and 7 lacked a lot the dark humor contained in the first 4 but it has picked back up. Highly recommend this series.

i enjoyed it. didnt care for the ending but it sets up well for follow up seasons.

in the last or 2nd to last episode there were 2 scenes that were so freaking awesome i re-watched them. 1 where he's sitting in the culvert and one character after another comes by one at a time and just keeps dumping more and more crap on him, and 1 involving rock-paper-scissors. awesome

Yeah, that was Ep 8...which I watched last night. Those 2 scenes were greatness. Totally made up for the previous couple of eps which, to me, almost seemed to be written by someone else.

Edit - finished it last night....i agree about the ending.

Also, "roshambo" in a french accent has now entered my lexicon at home.

my other 2 favorite scenes are the ones where Leslie gives his pitch with the over-the-top string of industry buzzwords and then John does the same at the presentation. Had me rolling.

tonight i asked my wife if she would like "to have a breakfast" tomorrow morning.

With a whole spread...muffins, breads, etc.

Just got done with episode 3. That cop with the ptsd made me laugh way to hard.

Ha, I felt bad for laughing at that too. Also cracked me up when his brother is being interviewed by the interpool chick and she's asking him about the maps and he states he has a map to the city of Eldorado.

On Episode 4 now. If I wasn't so busy right now I would have binge watched it.

For some reason I missed this when it came out. Almost done with season 1 and it is a bit weird but great show!

Season 2 isn't quite as good, but still worth watching.

S2 had one of my favorite episodes of TV ever!

Just got started, show is quirky and keeps me on my toes I like it so far. Lots of little details...like when the detective team is going through the hotel trash and there's a pack of twizzlers casually tossed aside. Earlier the older fellow from the company had asked if "they had and Asians who would accompany him to dinner and maybe slap the back of his legs with twizzlers."

Loved this. Then found out there is no season 3 inked or even in the works. Another show lost to ether.

I finished this last night and disagree.

Why is there not more buzz about this show? It is easily one of my favorite series ever. So clever, dark, funny, violent, gripping. You really get involved in almost ALL of the characters with the cold opening back story stuff. I would have never guessed friggin Ichabod would be a recurring character or the HR guy!

I also liked how they portrayed concussion and brain injury. Pretty accurate.

Now the ending:

So was he just starting a new life with the $11mil? Was he just leaving his wife and family? Or was he to continue the mission and try to get the $$ to the Iraqi folks?

Poor dude took a beating with the brain injuries, lost fingers, lost teeth, shot in the foot.

He could at least get in touch with Dennis and share a big pile of the $$ with him for giving him the fingers!

Just finished this show.... I thought it was awesome. Kinda weird and hard to explain what kind of show it is, but very entertaining. The part where he's going to commandeer a gun from a 7-11 in Paris while singing a folk song about it is about the greatest thing I've seen on TV.

We loved the first season, very quirky dark humor.
We didn't really get into the 2nd season very much.
We still need to finish this someday.
Actor is awesome as Joe Pickett also.

I couldn't stop laughing for that entire sequence. If you could sum up that show in a single scene, it would be that one. You can actually purchase the song on Amazon, which of course I did.

I wish they would bring it back. Such clever writing and dry humor.

I looked that scene up on YouTube and saved it. I nearly died laughing the first time I watched it. It wasn't until the 2nd time I watched it that I realized the bag of European dimes came into play.

I thought he was awesome, like a high-as-a-kite Jason Bourne character. I'll have to watch Joe Pickett next.
