I take it you're not aware that this is happening, a franchise reboot staring David Harbour of Stranger Things fame...

"Legendary as Hell" was staring them right in the face.

Call me weird, but I liked the first one better than the second.
Rasputin and especially Kroenen were better villains and the film was a little less overly-goofy than the second. Plus, the beginning (where they find Hellboy) is just so awesome.
They wanted to, but Del Toro always does things on his terms and can take a long time to get projects made, for that reason. He doesn't just go with what studios want, which I respect a lot.FAT SEXY said:
Wish Guillermo Del Toro and Ron Pearlman could have finished a trilogy circa 2011/2012 or something though
:/

Definitely not a great movie. Felt rushed. Hard to follow at times, mediocre soundtrack.
That said, I still kinda like it. It's got some fun action sequences. Decent style. Harbour was a good pick for the role. He's not why it failed. It gets put into my rotation sometimes as one of those flix I like to use as background noise when I'm working on something.
It's unfortunate that it bombed. We probably won't get another Hellboy movie anytime soon because of that.
