From IMDB:
"M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals2000's Unbreakable, from Touchstone, and 2016's Split, from Universalin one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: Glass. From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast."

I didn't think they'd pull the storylines together in a new movie. I'm excited to see they're giving this a go. Fingers crossed - I really want this movie to work. :-)

Saw a couple commercials for it tonight during the Chiefs-Sea Hawks game and it looks really good.

The FX look really well done, even the short snippet of the beast running like a cheetah looked realistic.

The cheerleaders held captive in the basement made my eyes roll a bit but eye candy is eye candy.

Liked both Unbreakable and Split so I've got high hopes for this one.

Does Samuel L's character have a power of any kind? I just remember him committing those attacks in the first film.

Also, James McAvoy got freakin big for this role.

I saw something where shamalamadingdong is telling people that the movie isn't what the marketing is making it out to be.

I think Samuel L'a character, Glass, is a genius-level manipulator or other people, in addition to having some disorder that makes all his bones incredibly brittle and easy to break.

Saw a preview for this tonight before Aquaman and thought this movie looks legit. Do I need to see those other 2 movies in OP to understand what's going on?

That's not a good way to get people out to see your film that's about to drop

Hard to say without having seen GLASS but yeah, I would highly recommend seeing both Unbreakable and Split before this. Even if for no other reason other than they're good movies.

Unbreakable is VERY underrated and mistakenly gets lumped in with some of his flops...it's incredibly well shot and Willis gives a very understated performance. I thought it was excellent and even has his trademark surprise ending (which ultimately became too big a trap for him).

McAvoy gives the better performance in Split but Unbreakable overall is a better film.

I don't see how you couldn't watch the other two before seeing this and not miss alot. They are both excellent films too.

Unbreakable is awesome.

When watching Split, there wasn't a shred of a feeling that this would somehow be a superhero/villain follow up. It was simply a creepy and dark movie that had zero shred of happinesss to the ending.

I've seen Split but not Unbreakable. Which other movies do I need to see to get the full backstory for this?

Just Unbreakable.

We watched Unbreakable and Split back-to-back last night.

Then we watched the promo for Glass, and I have to say, I'm pumped for this movie.

I don't think MNS will let it flop.

Split was really, really creepy. An aging Bruce Willis versus "The Horde" and the diabolical Glass should be something to see.

By the way, interesting in the trailer and promo that it is Willis' character who is chained to the chair and the floor while Glass and Horde/Beast sit unrestrained.

I actually find that to be encouraging. I don't want it to be anything like another superhero movie. The first two weren't.

I've noticed that most of the preview's "action" seems to all be from one sequence outside the facility.

I get the feeling that the marketing people focused all the previews on Glass and the Horde's breakout, but that this isn't representative of the rest of the film. The previews make it look like it's some action-packed epic fight between the hero and villains, but I'm betting that the film is much more a psychological, dialogue-heavy film much more like Unbreakable and Split.

I'm sure Shymalan is right: this movie is not going to be like what the trailers have led people to believe.

Agreed, up until the post-credit scene with the girls at a bar discussing a long-ago story (the Unbreakable story) where the media came up with a nickname ... and sitting next to them is none other than Bruce Willis, who completes their statement with the name "Glass".

I saw Unbreakable a few times when it first came out and on DVD. Thought it was a good movie, and actually a masterful masking of a traditional comic book movie. Re-watched just today for the first time since probably 2001 and wow, it was really as good as I remembered it being.

I'd never seen Split until today. That was a creepy movie that when I first saw the previews for it, I saw nothing that tied it to Unbreakable in any way, save for the director. Then of course that post-credit scene.

Looking forward to seeing Glass next Friday or Saturday.

Traveled this past week and watched all three on an american flight. I really like how Glass brought everything together and left an interesting plot twist that can start another chain of movies.

Would recommend everyone to watch the trilogy.

I finally saw this on a trans-atlantic flight and loved it. I'm pretty sure I saw Unbreakable ages ago but now I intend to watch the entire trilogy in the near future.
