VEEP returns this spring for its 7th and final season. This feels like Parks and Rec in that I dont want it to go but Id rather see it go than turn into trash.

No show makes me laugh out loud more than VEEP. Jonah Ryan continues to climb the ladder of my all time favorite characters. Adding Richard Splett to the cast only made Jonah better.

I think Ill give VEEP a rewatch when we finish our GoT rewatch.

Ill start this thread with one of my favorite scenes

This scene is peak comedy for me...as soon as they cut to a specific odd scenario like formal dinner at Roger's house you start laughing immediately in anticipation of what's about to happen because you know exactly where they're headed based on many seasons of trust....happens all the time in later years of seinfeld, curb, veep

The bit about going dutch, using venmo, public, so that people would know he is a gentleman, as he cuts her off on the way into the elevator was one of the most perfect distillations of a character I've ever seen.

Jonah's response to the high school shooting about sometimes a lacrosse player who thinks he owns the cafeteria getting what's coming to him is one of the funniest things he's said, good lord, that was a good kickoff to the season. Also enjoyed his entire team discovering he married his stepsister, incredible. This cast is so perfect and ridiculous, I'm going to miss this show once it's over.

I think she kicks pregnant Amy off the campaign. Amy works for Jonah and he wins the nomination. Then Elaine wakes up next to Jerry and tells him about her horrible nightmare of being VP, then president then a toxic candidate that lost a primary to Spewbacca, only to see the front page of The NY Times jerry is reading with President Ryan on the front page.

Someone has to pay homage to Newhart sooner or later.
