That said, what's the theory behind Jon becoming the next Night's King. I've seen this posted several times. Didn't the COTF create the Night's King as basically a biological weapon against men, but screwed up when they couldn't control him or the magic they created? Why does there have to be another Night's King if the current one bites it in S8?

I am unaware of the complaint regarding the Battle of the *******s. What is that all about?Brian Earl Spilner said:
In previous seasons, it was easy to write off as storylines not happening simultaneously. (ie. Arya making it from Bravos to The Twins in 2 episodes, Varys making it from Mereen > Dorne > Mereen in 2 episodes, etc.)
But in this case, it was a single storyline and over a single day. (Or 2 days max.)
It's just ridiculous.
And for what? To capture a single wight? And risk the King in the North? A half-assed, cockamamie "plan" to convince Cersei, suggested by Tyrion, no less. One of the smartest characters in the show.
It's really the only time I can remember being actually upset after an episode. I was so hyped about that episode, too.
Give me Battle of the *******s over that episode, all day.
Yep. I mean, you could have even had Dany just have a hunch that things went wrong and fly on over. But the Gendry marathon dash on snow and ice no less was just silly.C@LAg said:it does not bother me that much. the TV show has never dwelt on how "large" Westeros is, like the books have. So waiting for storylines to match up has not been that big of an issue.Brian Earl Spilner said:
That episode really bothers me.
Such lazy writing.
That said. ALL those things happening in one episode was ridiculous.
I mean, at least have her staged at Eastwatch as part of the scheme to capture a wight.
Such a simple fix.
