Does anyone here like the Doors, and if so, have any favorite Doors song?

To be honest, I'm not a huge Doors fan, but this is definitely one of my favorites.

And I realize this is mostly for the "older" folks.

PS. Yes, we were Young once too.

I like that rolling bass on Love Her Madly as well as the old synth. For some reason those two instruments just reach out to me.

Plenty of well known choices; I wouldn't disagree with any of them. Some of the less oft choices I like are Hyacinth House, Backdoor Man, and The End. Oh, and almost forgot The Crystal Ship. Like that one quite a bit as well.

I'm a fan...

The whole LA Woman album is great. Introduced my 19 year old daughter to the album on a road trip last year and she was getting the groove.

Let me tell you about Texas radio and the big beat!

My favorite Doors "doing" came recently when Thor did his best Jim Morrison impression ala 1970 for End Game. that was nails.

I've found that I always have a different favorite Doors song depending on the mood I'm in when I listen to it. I like all of these mentioned although I tend to favor Love Her Madly, Peace Frog, Break on Through, and When the Music's Over the most. That's the cool thing about the Doors, they are such a different sound than other bands ans have so many unique songs within their playlist.

Cool story for me - I went to see the Doors in 2011 at the House of Blues in Dallas and I almost didn't go because my Dad had been in the hospital for 3 months with a lengthy illness and it was a busy hectic time for me to go from Fort Worth to Dallas on a weeknight BUT I decided last minute "well it's the Doors and they won't be around much longer" so I went and it was one of the BEST shows I've ever seen. Yes it was just 50% of the Doors, it was Ray Manzarek, Robbie Krieger, a Fake Jim which sounded and looked AND acted like Real Jim, and then a 4th spare lol but they all sounded perfect. I was 37 at the time and was by far the youngest person attending I think. They all sounded strong and just like they always have and Ray even played the keyboards with his foot (you have to see it to believe it). Listening to him talk and say "we still miss our friend Jim and he was our good friend" was so cool because there I was watching some legends of Rock and Roll.

One of the coolest things that happened was before the show I got there really early because I had never been to the House of Blues in Dallas and so I parked pretty early and was just walking around trying to find where to go in and I ended up by their tour buses which are parked right out in the open. It was nighttime and dark outside already because it was in November and I noticed an older guy by himself come walking out from between the buses and I looked at him a second and thought "who is that guy he looks familiar" and then I realize it's Robbie Krieger!

I gave him a head nod and said "Hi" because he at first looked a tad concerned that someone might recognize him but when I head nodded he head nodded back and I was about to say "I am really looking forward to the show tonight" and might have been able to have a short conversation with a Rock legend but before I could, several idiot autograph hounds ran by me saying "Robbie! Robbie!" with stuff in their hands for him to sign and he beat a hasty exit up into his tour bus. I can't stand it when idiot people like those autograph hounds act like that. But I'll always remember the time that I had a face to face encounter, albeit a head nod, with Robbie Kreiger of the Doors.

I really love The Soft Parade. Such a weird, beautiful song that I didn't like when I first heard it.

I'm not a big Doors fan, but most of the time when I hear LA Woman or Roadhouse Blues I enjoy it way more than I would expect.

I always resented that they didn't have a bass player.

There are way too many to list. The original Doors album is one of those I'd have if trapped on a desert island.

But if I have to list...
The Wasp
Love Her Madly
Peace Frog
The End
Back Door Man
When the Music's Over
Love Me Two Times
My Wild Love
Not to Touch the Earth
