Ok I don't reddit but someone spoiled the show for me and unfortunately it is what it is. My question is if they do go with the Bran ending do they go with him being Keyser Soze and he actually orchestrated everything to get the throne? Ends with him getting up from his wheelchair and walking up and sitting on the throne. That would be a hell of a twist I think that would cause people to rewatch and see what all he did to orchestrate it all in the background and actually playing the game. Starting with the possible "burn them all" to the mad king. I brought this up to a couple of co workers and they had no idea wtf the Usual suspects was so it could happen I guess. Bran being on the throne just seems to bland of an ending. Thoughts?

I would down vote and ban OP

I think Jon taking the black and Bran becoming king are the most ridiculous endings possible. There is literally no need for the Night's Watch anymore given that the walkers have been defeated, most if not all of the night's watch has been killed, the wall has been destroyed (at least at Eastwatch), the North has made peace with the Wildlings. What the heck is the point of continuing the Night's Watch? I imagine this is just the showrunners butchering the story GRRM wrote by creating the Night King who likely was never a character in the books. By killing him, you guarantee the end of the white walkers; however, I imagine in the books without such a character, there remains the chance that the walkers return.

As for Bran, seriously? You vote the frickin autistic kid to become the king of the 7 kingdoms? I just can't imagine GRRM actually writing this ending.

All the spoilers that I've read point to this ending. It COULD be wrong but these leakers nailed every detail from episode 5 so I'll trust it. Bran takes the throne with a high council and Jon takes the black (apparently there will always be a NK or something and to abdicate his claim to the throne). It's gonna be a ****ty ending.

Yeah, I don't doubt this is the ending we get, but they are going to have a hard time explaining how the WWs are still a threat when they were uniformly defeated because the showrunners decided to go with the Dracula method of killing all the WWs. My assumption is that there is no NK in the books and WWs are all independent of one another leading to a possibility that when they are defeated, there is still possibly more in the North that will bide their time. That is the only way that Jon taking the black again makes any sense.
