Big Daddy Kane was one of the best. Kool Moe Dee was underrated, as was Brother J from X-Clan.

Chuck D is one of the greatest lyricists for damn sure. And his delivery is super powerful. But definitely not the best rapper, as much as PE is one of my all time favorites.

Out of that era, my favorites are Slick Rick, Masta Ace, & Kool G Rap. My only knock on Chuck was that he didnt translate too well into the 90s as those did. Masta Ace is too underrated, & Slick Rick is one of my top 5 ever. I dont care what anyone says.

I'll always love PE though.
