Several other threads made me consider this topic - - which songs did you usually hear played back-to-back on the radio, and you cannot listen to one without thinking of the other? Here's a few starter thoughts - feel free to add your own:

Good list. You definitely hear #1 played together - which is a shame because "living loving maid" is trash. Its the 2nd worst LZ song in an otherwise great catalog.

I hate hearing Rude Mood without Hideaway when Live at Montreux in 1982 is played.

There is enough break before Golden Slumbers that I separate the two groups of songs

Count me as someone that always thought it started with here comes the sun and ended with the end of the side.

Most sources say the medley starts with "You Never Give Me Your Money" and ends with "The End," for a total of eight tracks.

This thread has surprised me that people consider it differently.

I agree that Is where Paul's medley starts but if you listen to side 2 altogether you get a George song, John song, and Paul's melody. I consider them inseparable. I mean, are you really going to just play here comes the sun and then pick up the needle!

Of course not. Abbey Road is my favorite album of the Beatles. I generally listen to sides A and B all the way through when playing it. In the spirit of this thread, sure, true albums should be listened to all the way through (together).

But I believe the OP is asking for specific tracks that make less sense when played individually.

A medley, by definition, is a grouping of pieces of music played sequentially.

Well it's really going to surprise you that I sometimes listen to that album on shuffle, just to mix up life a little bit.

Well, first, "just fine" isnt how I would describe most of the rest of the LZ catalog, so "just fine" is already damning with faint praise.
One positive thing I can say for it is that it's better than Hot Dog.
