Well, I'm a sucker for movies featuring various types of critters, whether imaginary or real. Movies like Alien, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Lake Placid, and Anaconda. Of course, these come in varying degrees of quality. Crawl is a decent flick, better than something like Anaconda but not even in the same league (really shouldn't have to qualify this) as Jaws.
The story is simple. We have a gal who swims for the Florida Gators swim team who's sister calls frantically because she has not been able to reach their dad as a cat-5 hurricane is coming ashore. Swim gal then goes to find her dad in a house that has a crawl space and is rapidly filling with water. And alligators. A number of them. CHOMP!
The movie is pretty damn claustrophobic, given that most of it takes place in the crawl space beneath the flooding house.
I'm sure someone will chime in with murky or non-existent motivations of the primary characters, but I'll say bah! Survival seems to be the biggest motivator here, never mind how they find themselves in this situation to begin with.
If you like watching movies where something is eating people, this is for you. Otherwise, probably best to skip it, or wait for a late-night showing on some random TV station.
