Maybe I'm getting old but I saw it yesterday and honestly never laughed. One of the dumbest movies I have ever seen.

I'm very torn on this film. On one hand, I think it was a callback to my time in junior high when people talked about things that they didn't understand and there was a lot of things that brought up memories and made me laugh. The ending 15 minutes with Max going through girlfriends every week and crying every time reminded me so much of Junior High.

On the other hand, I don't know why a parent would let their kid be in this movie. The crass language, the sexual overtones of almost every scene. While it was done in a somewhat innocent way to illustrate how these kids were still kids despite talking like they were grown ups, there were times that it was completely over-the-top.

The funniest parts of the movie to me were the dialogue with them just walking down the street where they were misusing words and phrases, and I think I was probably the only one laughing in the theater during those times. They did the subtle stuff really well.

The over the top scenes were too much over the top and didn't strike me as funny but more crass for being the sake of crass. I cringed a few times.

Have you not heard kids in online games? This language is tame for most of them.

Hell I used every curse word I could think of as a 13 year old around friends to sound more adult, but I didn't have access to the cornucopia of vulgarity that the internet has like today's kids.

Used one of my free passes to see this again with a friend. For some reason I just laughed so flipping hard the second time through.

"I'm not a feminist! I LOVE women!"

"Great, now I'm going to be a social piranha."

"She's a nymphomaniac."
"So she plays with fire?"
"No, that's a pyromaniac. She's a nymphomaniac. That means she can have sex on land *and* sea."

So when we walked in there was this kid who was 13 or so with his mother. He had to buy the tickets because she didn't speak a lick of english. Part of me really wanted to pull him aside and be like "dude you really don't want to see this movie with your mother." But the other part of me really wanted it to happen just to see how she reacted.

She clearly had no clue what they were saying in the movie. When the scene with the sex toys started she let out a giant gasp, screamed something in spanish, grabbed her kid and pulled him out of the theater.
