I submit the "I feel overmatched" scene between Tommie Lee Jones and Barry Corbin in No Country for Old Men as on of the Best Movie Scenes. Incredible writing and acting! The best line from the scene: "You don't know what he thinks."

So many great scenes from the Godfather and GF 2 but the Michael forgives (but doesn't really forgive) Fredo scene is probably my favorite. The score is pretty damn amazing too during it.

It feels a bit dated now, but at the time and in context of the rest of the film this has totally stuck with me.

The most stone cold vengeance scene ever made, I actually prefer this fate for Villefort over the book's. That's pretty rare especially for classic source material.

The music helps with the tension so much. The dialogue back and forth. The camera work. I love this scene

Something I've always liked about the bartender scene is how Call just rides it out without ever saying a word. He knows what's coming and just chills out watching it unfold.

The pivotal scene in arguably the best movie ever made.



Done with almost no dialogue, the paths of all the main characters are set. And the people singing were largely refugees, shot in the middle of the war so they didn't know if they would ever go home. Add to that the rousing version of the song, and the "shocked to find gambling" close, and it pretty much stands alone.
