I realize I'm only 13 years behind here but I just heard about this documentary the other day randomly by watching a Dave Portnoy pizza review.

In it he brings up this film and said if you ever listen to one piece of advice from him it's to check this out immediately.

I just watched it and thought it was fantastic. Has anybody else seen this? As a life long gamer I'm amazed I've never discovered this until now. A really solid watch imo even if you aren't into video games.

I'm not into video games but thoroughly enjoyed it when back near when it came out.

Other documentaries that are somewhat similar that i liked are American Movie and that Showbiz Pizza documentary

I met Billy Mitchell a few years ago after a night od bar hopping. He rolled in dressed in a fancy outfit, his little entourage, including his referee buddy.

Dude handed me a huge business card which was more like a bookmark in size with all it's statistics and bull*****

I'm trying to remember what it's called, but there's another one about a guy trying to beat the world record for the snake arcade game. In order to do it he has to stay up for something like two days straight doing nothing but playing the game. To take bathroom breaks he has to build up enough free lives because the machine keeps playing while he's gone. I thought it was pretty good. Billy Mitchell and Twin Galaxies are in it. The name is just escaping me though.

King of Kongs was greatness. OCD to the extreme, and for that dude to come to his house while he's out of town to check out his game and say his score was invalid because the mother board (or something) had been repaired was infuriating.

Also inspired aspects of the underrated Sandler movie, Pixels. Fire Blaster was a slightly more awesome Billy Mitchell.
