So in.

1. They've got Trek actors talking about it, ah!
2. Brent Spiner does a good Patrick Stewart impersonation.

I liked the movie and will watch this probably if it's around. Just becomes tedious how every one of these documentaries makes their movie out to be way more than it was, then or now.
Even in hindsight, this was not a top 5 or even top 10 movie for that year (one that had movies like fight club, the matrix, being John Malkovich, American Beauty, The Green Mile etc ). It was an a enjoyable flick with a funny unique premise, but didn't think about it much after I watched it. But if the cult following enjoys it, more power to them and the film makers. Probably wasn't made for the casual fan like me anyway.

ummmm.... by definition a cult following comprises a group of fans who are highly dedicated to a movie. So of course as a casual fan you would not find it interesting and surprisingly you are also not the intended audience.

Lol.

Seriously, all I was saying is that movies that didn't have broad appeal originally are less likely to have broad appeal in their documentaries, and part of that is because much of the effusive praise for it would seem out of place to a casual viewer and turn them off a bit.

That's not exactly like arguing Roe v Wade.

But I will leave you all to enjoy it here, I wasn't trying to ruin it for anyone.

The entire Awesome clan (Mr, Mrs, and the boys - High School Snark and College Age Cool) went to see this last night in San Antonio. Only about 15 of us in the theater, but it was great! People actually laughing out loud! As we left the theater, we all wanted to go home and watch the original movie again.

If it comes out in theaters or on the Interwebs, I highly suggest it to anyone who agrees with any of these statements:
1) Galaxy Quest is one of the best Star Trek movies of all time.
2) I'm surprisingly turned on by Thermians in either of their forms.
3) I have casually used the line, "By Grabthar's Hammer"
4) I knew that Pulitzer-prize winning playwright David Mamet included Galaxy Quest on a list of perfect films. (This was news to the Awesomes but after very little discussion, we agree.)

Never Give Up, Never Surrender!

it seems like you arent really grasping the concept of cult following for a movie
