This is the time of year I start looking for new Christmas music (though my personal rule is that I don't start listening to Xmas music until Dec. 1st). Made me curious what people's favorite Christmas albums were. Here's mine:

• Kacey Musgraves: A Very Kacey Christmas-- A fun mix of traditional standards and Kacey originals. Great harmonies and all around fun vibe.
• Mercy Me: The Christmas Sessions-- Christian rock band that reimagines old classics with new arrangements.
• Martina McBride: White Christmas-- Lush orchestral arrangements combined with Martina's strong vocals, what's not to love? Album is 20 years old but it still holds up because the songs are timeless.

No Christmas music is the best Christmas music.

I really like Chris Tomlin's Glory In The Highest live album. Modern versions of old Christmas hymns and you can really hear the crowd singing along. That's a great one to listen all the way through or having playing in the background on Christmas Eve or Day.

In all seriousness (and I actually really do like Mariah Carey's Christmas album) I don't think anyone can top Harry Connick Jr.

The day after Thanksgiving my wife will be blaring it in the car and in the morning when we're all getting up and ready for school/work. And I'm 100% good with that.

Hate Christmas music. All of it. Everything from trans Siberian orchestra to bing Crosby.

Only exception is spinal tap.

They've released two. Make sure you get the first one (Christmas Sessions). Second one was kind of meh.

Not a bad song on the entire album.

Trans Siberian Orchestra is my personal favorite. Far from the only thing I like, but that's my favorite.
