Great show? Disaster? Who cares?
For us 80s folks...seems like a must see for me.

Just a warning - the people in the crowd are going to look a lot older than you remember.

Yeah... I just came in my pants.

Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting.

I'm sure she's just as hot as I remember in 7th grade...

I got talked into an LA Guns show a few weeks ago. The old rockers and their chicks in the crowd look slightly less cool than I remember from going to concerts in middle school and high school.

Mosh pits were more of an early 90s alternative rock thing and not a "hair band" 80s thing.

I don't expect a crowd of predominantly 20-40 year olds.

They are going to have to basically prop Mick Mars into place and hand him a guitar.

Meh. "18 an Life to Go" was a really great song but after that...

Besides, if everybody sings their hits then this thing will be 3 hours.

A KLOL concert at the Houston Summit (Lakewood Church) featuring Skid Row was one of those old concerts I was thinking of from my adolescent years.

Growing up in College Station I didn't get to see any non-Country music acts until I was in college and could do as I please. By then it was Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, STP...

So the idea of getting to revisit Hysteria and Pyromania really excites me.

Def Leppard was awesome last year.

They still got it.

That video was filmed at the Dallas show during the Theatre of Pain tour. I was there. Much to my chagrin, 5th grade me didn't see this though.

The world NEEDED to be saved by Seattle.

But it also meant the death of great bands like The Crue and Def Leppard (though my boys from Birmingham never split up).

It's good to see they're making some shekels.

In the last few years I've seen The Rolling Stones, Eagles, ZZ Top, and Chicago. I can guaranty you this crowd will look like a bunch of young kids to me. It will be nice not to be the youngest person in attendance.

Only problem for me is that nowadays I rock and roll all day, but only part of all night - just like the song says. Crazy how those Kiss lyrics have been misheard for so many years.

They were with Journey.

Cheap Trick opened.

I think they played 1 or 2 songs that came after 86-87.

I took Benny. Fortunately we did not have the best seats. So he didn't see the boobs of the women down front flashing.

But I am not a guy, so are boobs like pizza? Even when bad, it's good?

Didn't Motley Crue sign a contract after their last tour stating that they would never tour again? Guess the money didn't last as long as they thought it would.

Not always good, but you always want to see. Sometimes it's like seeing a unicorn being born, sometimes it's like a dead body. You always wanna see.

Some friends of mine asked me if I wanted to go to a strip club, and I didn't...want to go. But I ended up going, 'causeback me up on this, fellasonce you've seen one woman naked, you...wanna see the rest of 'em naked. It can be an old biker chick, you know they're gonna hang down to here. "Wanna see my titties!?" "Yeah, I do!" [cringes] "All right, that's enough, roll 'em back up!" [imitates her rolling her breasts back up and sealing them in place.]

Holy *%#? I just liked a Tanya post.

It would take 6 pages for me to explain my life-long obsession with Leppard. Lost count of how many times I've seen them in concert, but do know it's been across 7 states over 32 years.

Finally met all 5 members - separately - last year in Memphis in the lobby of the hotel that they & we happened to be staying in for the tour with Journey. With the exception of "the new guy" (Vivian Campbell) they couldn't have been more gracious.
Rick & Phil in particular were above & beyond cool. Ended up sharing a drink with Phil the second time we ran into each other in the lobby while he waited on his family to come down before heading to dinner.

Had front row for the Memphis show and then for both nights in Houston a couple of months later. Other than Joe telling me to "go F%# yourself" in front of 20,000 people during the second show (covered in greater detail in another thread), it was epic lifetime achievement.

Crue & Poison opening for Lep is a bit like Beber & Coldplay opening for Zeppelin, but I'm fully aware that's just me.

I'm in.

Just saw G&R at ACL, and they rocked it out. Slash looks like he hasn't aged a bit.

I'm disappointed I missed the Journey/Def Leppard tour. Def Leppard was my favorite band as a kid. Pyromania was my first album, and I still have it.

I love the 10-arm Def Leppard stuff. Not so much a fan of the 9-arm era. Saw them once about 8-10 years ago and Joe Elliott didn't sound very good back then. I've heard he's a lot better now. Would definitely like to see them again but wish I could pick the setlist. And Pyromania was the first cassette I ever bought with my own money. Still love that album.

I still know every word to every song on that album. High and Dry was pretty good too.
