Yes, this was a sad moment. It's always a horrible thing to kill off the hot girl. But geesh, it was harsh for the viewer. I remember reading something after that episode from the producers / director and they were saying they had actually read up on this and this was a common method used by the Ruskies.

The rest of season 4 is really, really solid. Season 5 feels a bit like a bridge to season 6, but if you enjoy the characters and style of the show, its still very compelling.

She ended up adopting a kid, so I guess they were trying to make her ending happier but man, getting sent to Moscow in 1983 with no language skills seems worse than getting sent to Leavenworth or the bullet nina caught.

The opening scene of the series set to Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk" with the tom-tom drum riff, is one of my favorite scenes in TV history. And it never went downhill from there.
When they bring Nina down into that hallway where they off her, there is a rolling mop bucket and mop propped up in the corner ready to clean up after they pop her.

What really makes a woman special is that ONE little feature that makes her unique. And for Nina - it was that nose.
Thought for sure Martha's plane was going to blow up on take off.
