IMO

Clone Wars started out really strong. First few seasons were awesome. Then it got pretty wonky for me and I lost interest.

Rebels, pretty much the opposite. It got better as it progressed and finished strong.

I found a list of best clone wars arcs and watched only those and thought they were excellent. But when I watched some episodes not on those list, the quality seemed to fall off a bit.

Rebels I watched start to finish. It tells more of a serialized story. Very similar quality to the best of clone wars.

I'd recommend both approaches!
Thanks and gig'em

Clone Wars has Jar Jar.

Use that to make your choice.

I haven't seen rebels, but I thought the first three seasons of clone wars were pretty lame. They all felt like 1-2 episodes stories. Bad guys devise way to win, good guys stop them, bad guys think up new plot. Over and over again.

Around season 4-5 (I'm almost done with 5 now), at least the plot is going somewhere.

I am in the middle of season 4. Other than a few episodes, I found Seasons 1 and 2 to be mediocre. Seasons 3 and 4 are pretty strong and hoping that continues to the end.

I watched Rebels when it first aired. I plan on rewatching after finishing Clone Wars. I enjoyed Rebels. Hoping my better understanding of Ashoka Tano will enhance my enjoyment of Rebels during the rewatch.

Clone wars when it tries to humanize the clones is some of the best star wars there is. When it is just good guys try to figure out a way to advance liberty and then the bad guys defeat them and further advance their big government agenda....the show suffers.

I prefer Rebels. Even the "filler" episodes are fun.

Clone Wars has a great interpretation of Anakin and his occasional lapses into darkness via wanting to do the right thing by any means necessary. It also fleshes out a lot of the other Jedi who got the shaft in the prequels for some reason, then suddenly we were supposed to care about them during Order 66. Oh no, conehead guy who I've never seen outside the Jedi Council is getting shot! No, no guy with weird mask who has never spoken at all! Kit Fisto smiled at me once, the agony!

Rebels is phenomenal and is a non-stop love letter to Star Wars fans that has fantastic characters, interesting mythology, and uses Vader, Tarkin, Thrawn, and Palps the way they were meant to be used, as predatorial villains that win 99% of the time.

SW: Rebels has way higher peaks: Twilight of the Apprentice, A World between Worlds are some of the best that Star Wars has to offer. The overall plot of TCW is more intriguing IMO.

Both shows are excellent.
