You spend $150 for dinner and a movie at Studio Movie Grill? Did I read that right?SockDePot said:
Been wondering what the catalyst for this would be.
The home experience now rivals / exceeds the theatre experience pretty easily now.
I'd be willing to pay $50 for 12-24 hrs to see a current release at home, you spend 3x that at studio movie grill.
How long until this is the norm?
Yes every time - family of 5 $50 tickets and $100 drinks/snacks/dinner/dessert/tip - $20 per person. Going to the movies is a rare special occasion and enjoyed to the fullest.GiveEmHellBill said:You spend $150 for dinner and a movie at Studio Movie Grill? Did I read that right?SockDePot said:

Mark Cuban actually did it when he owned Landmark Theaters, though not with any big films as far as I know.AgfromHOU said:
Steve Jobs wanted to test the idea using iTunes when he was still alive. He believed people would pay $35-50 (or thereabouts) for a one time view of a movie to avoid the theaters and watch at home with friends and family.
