Anyone seen this movie? It is excellent!

I watched it not even knowing what it was about at first on a plane to New York last year. Thought it was great and was able to see the statue by ground zero and better understand what it meant

The book it is based on, Horse Soldiers, by Doug Stanton, is excellent.

I especially loved the beginning scene when he was turning in his papers to retire and then the attack happens and it changes everything. In the same light I was at my 8 year mark and strongly considering getting out. But that day changed my life's path. That hit home with me as I'm sure it did with many on TexAgs.

I still think American Sniper hit all the right notes with me. Loved both movies.

I liked the movie but they missed a huge opportunity by not following the book all the way to the end at Qala I Jangi and Mazar I Sharif.
